ProfileIndoor ornamental

A forgiving trailing aroid with thin, heart-shaped leaves. It climbs readily and tolerates lower light, although growth becomes slower.

How to recognize it

Look at the whole growth habit as well as leaf shape. Compare several mature leaves, the stem, petiole attachment, and—when present—flowers or fruit. Juvenile foliage can look very different from mature growth.

Care essentials

Light

Medium to bright indirect light. Move the plant gradually when changing light levels to reduce scorch or leaf drop.

Water and soil

When the top 2–4 cm is dry. Use a container with drainage and empty standing water from the saucer. An airy potting mix helps roots receive oxygen.

Feeding and growth

Feed lightly during active growth, following the fertilizer label. Pause or reduce feeding when growth slows.

Pet safety: Toxic to cats and dogs. If an animal chews a plant or develops symptoms, contact a veterinarian or animal poison service promptly.
